NITK Feed

NITK Feed, is a feed aggregator, which parses NITKian’s Blog. For your blog to be added to NITK Feed, you must either be studying at NITK or be an alumni. You can check it out at http://nitkfeed.arbitblog.com

Joblessness during 2008 summer vacation made me blog, and that in turn lead to reading others blogs. Reading and interacting in a few blogs helped build contacts and was useful in many ways.

We, the ones in college are curious to know what our seniors are upto, and felt the same might be from the other side(am i right?). Moreover, it helps to stay connected.

So, there is a need to stay connected. Instead of building the usual alumni site or a forum, thought of trying something different. This project is an experiment of staying connected in a new way, the blog way. (Paul and Lad, u there?)

Will keep monitoring the site regularly and of course adding features to accelerate the desired effect.

I am not sure if this will work, given the variety of blogs posted and people’s disinterest in things in which they are not involved and might become just another time-pass sight. But whats there in trying? This is only the starting point, and eventually might become something totally different(and useful).

At the least, if nothing concrete comes out of this, I would have learnt a few things and you would have gained a few additional readers.
